In this episode I discuss what “evidence” actually looks like when you’re becoming someone new: pausing instead of reacting, setting boundaries instead of people pleasing, and keeping promises to yourself even when you don’t feel like it. I share real examples from my own day to show how momentum is built through small choices that change your energy, your mindset, and your self concept. If you’ve been waiting for external validation to finally believe you’re growing, this will help you come back to self trust.

I also give you simple reflection questions you can use when progress feels slow, so you can track your micro shifts and stay consistent long enough for those changes to compound into visible results. If this resonates, subscribe to the podcast, share it with a friend who’s in their “nothing is happening” phase, and leave a review so more sweet souls can find this work.

Welcome And What This Show Is

SPEAKER_00

Hello, sweet souls. Welcome to Minding My Manifestation, where I take you along with me on my manifestation and spiritual journey while also helping to guide you through yours. If you're ready to create new habits, discover deeper truths, expand your mind, and become the best version of yourself one day at a time, then this podcast is for you. Each week, I'll discuss my inner standing of the world around us, manifestation, and how you can shift your current patterns of thinking and being to align more deeply with your soul's purpose. Think of this podcast as your weekly dose of how you can change the world around you by changing the world within you. So grateful you're here. Let's get into it.

Change Starts Before You See It

SPEAKER_00

Hello, sweet souls, and welcome back. So today we are gonna kind of piggyback off of the last few episodes of what I've been talking about. So if you haven't listened to those yet, please go listen to it so this can make more sense. But basically, what I'm gonna be discussing here today is realizing and understanding and trusting that changes are happening within you even before the evidence shows up. I think one of the hardest parts of becoming someone new or really just remembering who you are is that for a while, nothing seems to really happen, nothing really seems to shift. You decide you're going to change your life, and then you start showing up differently, you start making different choices, you are more aware, like when you start having negative thoughts, and you understand that you have to stop abandoning yourself. Like you understand that you are someone who takes care of themselves, just the whole thing, right? But then you're doing this, right? You have the momentum, you've been doing it for a week, two weeks, three weeks, a month, however long. And then you look around and you start to realize that things look pretty identical to how they did before you changed anything, before you shifted anything. And I think this is the moment in time when a lot of us lose hope and really lose momentum, is because we're doing all this extra work. We're doing the things that we believe are better for ourselves and can really just help ourselves all around in general. But like physically, nothing has really changed. And so obviously, this is frustrating because we expect this external proof almost immediately. And I understand that like in the world that we live in, where everything is kind of immediate, very fast, you have very little wait time, and I understand the frustrations, but I think with the type of world we live in right now, we can get things sort of immediately. And so when the changes we're making don't show a huge difference or at all, kind of immediately, we kind of start to play with the idea of like, okay, well, then I might as well not even do anything at all, or we start to lose momentum and just kind of give up on it. But here's the part where we have to learn to trust ourselves and recognize that although things are not yet changing around us physically, I know that you can tell that there's a difference in the way that you show up. And the change is already happening inside of you, right? This goes back to my intro when I say change the world around you and you'll change the world within you. This is spot on, especially because this is like something that I know to be true, is that the way that we think and the way that we show up and the things that we do, they first happen within us without really any external proof, without any hardcore evidence that, like, oh yeah, I'm making a difference, right? But I know that you feel it. I know that you feel more confident, more excited for the day, just happier. And that right there is already showing you that you're making a difference, that you're making a shift and that things are changing inside of you.

Invisible Proof In Daily Choices

SPEAKER_00

Now, the way that we can kind of recognize that things are changing inside of us is like this invisible work, so to speak, right? You notice that when someone says something that could be triggering or that has been triggering for you in the past, instead of immediately going to react, you pause and you see it from like, okay, there's two outcomes here. How can I respond? Am I going to respond in the way that I always have, or am I going to respond in a different way that I know is going to save my energy? Right. Am I going to give this person the reaction that I know that I would have in the past? Or am I going to take a moment and respond differently? It could also be you stop people pleasing. Instead of like, oh yeah, I'll do the thing, or yes, yes, yes. Like just, you know, yes man or yes woman, you decide, you know what? Like, actually, no, I'm unavailable to do whatever it is, right? Like you just know that instead of always saying yes to every single thing and every single one, you're just like, no, I'm okay. And that right there is that's proof for yourself. The invisible work is working, right? This one I've had a hard time with, like in the past, and it's still something that I'm working through, but keeping the promises to yourself. Okay. You say you're gonna work out today, you say you're gonna work out five times a week, and you promise yourself that, do it. Keep the promises to yourself, right? But when you do keep them, you can already tell that you're shifting. You're like, wait a minute, like I didn't want to work out today and I did. Okay. Those are silent little proofs that you're on the right track and that you're shifting inside, even without having the external proof that you are. Those little habits will compound over time. And before you know it, you'll look back a year from now and be like, wow. Yeah, like that made a difference. And it was only in the moment that you couldn't see it because the shifts were they're micro, but they're happening. And that's what's important to know. You have to be able to trust yourself and realize that sure, you're not gonna have every day perfect, right? But then it comes down to like, what are you doing differently to change

Micro Habits That Compound Over Time

SPEAKER_00

that outcome? And I'll give you an example from today. So right now I have some dirty dishes going on. I have a couple baskets of clean laundry that I need to fold and put away. And I sat down to go do it this morning. First, it was the dishes. I'm like, okay, I need to do the dishes because something about a clean kitchen is so calming for me. But like for some reason, I was just like such in a little funky funk that I was like, okay, this can wait like an hour. So I go sit on the couch and I'm like, okay, I'll just maybe I'll put on a show and I'll do the laundry. But I sit down and literally, like, my mind is just blanking out. And even though, I mean, doing laundry, folding some clothes doesn't really take a lot of, you know, mind power, I just wasn't feeling it for some reason. And I knew that if I got up and moved my body, that I would feel better and I would feel more motivated to kind of get these things done, get the ball rolling. And so I took a walk with my sons to the store. And although I also didn't want to do that, I knew that if I did, it would change my mood and that it could give me some mental clarity and kind of just give me a little motivational boost to do what I want to do. So that right there is proof that I'm already changing. And I know that you have little moments like that where you can reflect back on and be like, yeah, I did respond differently, or yeah, I did do something differently, right? So again, even though we're not seeing the physical proof, there are little signs, little telltales that are showing you that what you're doing is making a difference and to keep going. I took a little break from the gym for like a few months, which I absolutely hate when I get off like a gym routine because then I can start to see it in my body and just like my mood, the whole thing. Anyways, I'm not seeing like a whole lot of progress right now. Like I'm not, if I'm being very honest. Like I'm not seeing it, but I can feel it. Okay. And that right there just already puts me in a good mood. I can feel it, although I cannot see it and I want to see it, right? I thrive when I look good. I think we all do, right? We just we feel a little better about ourselves when we feel good, we look good, the whole thing, but I'm not seeing like a huge change, if any, but I can feel it. And so with that, it's like, okay, that's that's

Why Chasing Evidence Keeps You Stuck

SPEAKER_00

amazing. But I also want to say that sometimes looking for the external evidence keeps us in like a little stuck moment because now you're looking for the proof outside of yourself. You're not really leaning into trusting yourself and knowing that you feel it because you're too busy wanting to see it. Okay, I realize that I spent years waiting for, I don't know, life to just tell me that I was changing. I know that sounds silly, or waiting for proof, external proof, waiting for permission to just be ready to be knowledgeable and basically waiting for anyone outside of me to validate the things that I know in my core are true about me. We constantly look outside of us for the answers, for evidence. But really, we need to just pause and understand that the answers are in us. The answers are within us. We're already changing inside. And so I want to encourage you to just have a different perspective of things, especially when it's a slow growth. I want you to motivate yourself, feel good about your decisions, feel good about the choices that you're making, especially if they're consistent. Just because you cannot see them physically does not mean they are not changing within you. They already are. And you're doing an amazing job, even trying to listen to this podcast because you know, you know that you're working hard, you know that you're doing the things, but you're waiting for like, oh, okay, well, where are the answers at? Where are the where's the proof? The proof is in you. You have the answers. And I want you to trust yourself. I want you to look within you and just catch yourself and be like, yeah, I am doing things differently, even if you cannot physically see

Questions That Reveal Your Growth

SPEAKER_00

it. So a little exercise that I like to do, right? When I'm wondering, when will things change? When will I physically see it? Instead of wondering, why isn't my life changing or why isn't this working? Get curious and ask yourself different questions. Ask yourself, like, how are you different today than you were six months ago? Or what feels easier to me now? What no longer controls me, or what would the old version of me have given into, right? Things like that. Just to give yourself a little boost and like, oh yeah, I am that girl and I am changing. So I want to encourage you to encourage yourself. Get out there and encourage yourself. You're doing a good job. You don't need anyone to tell you that. You have the answers within you, you feel the little micro shifts within you, and keep going, keep doing the thing. And I will be here alongside you to encourage you along the way, but just know that you're already shifting inside of you. I'm not even joking. You listening to this podcast is a sign that you're curious about how you can make a shift, and therefore, that's already the start of a shift. I know that sounded a little confusing, but I promise you, you're shifting inside, and you know it. And you don't even need me to tell you, but I will remind you that you are. Okay, thank you for being with me here today. All right, sweet souls. Until next time.
